Murfreesboro, TN – At 6:00 o’clock Wednesday evening, June 5, 2024, the League of Women Voters will have a POLITICAL FORUM in the historic Rutherford County Courthouse on the Murfreesboro square.

Candidates for Rutherford County School Board District 2 and 3, will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and respond to a moderator's questions on a timed basis.

Election Day is August 1st, with early voting scheduled from July 12 - July 27 The public can park on the street where parking is available at no cost Questions please feel

To ensure an impartial and welcoming environment for all candidates, no campaign materials (t-shirts, buttons, signs, etc.) are allowed.

A question pool was developed by the League of Women Voters and all candidates will be asked to answer the same questions. There will be no audience participation during the forum.

League policy is to offer forums for all contested elections in which a majority of candidates agree to participate.

The public is encouraged to attend the free event and should be seated 10 minutes prior to the start time. There will be no admittance once the forum is underway.

The forums can be viewed live on Rutherford County TV (RCTV).

The forum will be hosted by the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Murfreesboro/Rutherford County in conjunction with cooperation from the Rutherford County TV (RCTV), THE RUTHERFORD COUNTY GOVERNMENT ACCESS CHANNEL.
