NASHVILLE, TN - The new outlet stores that recently opened just barely over the Rutherford County line in nearby Antioch, have been a hotbed of activity for Metro Nashville Police. But the most recent shoplifters were unable to getaway with the loot they aimed to take.

According to Metro authorities, four suspicious persons entered Perfumania in the Tanger Outlets who employees said had visited twice in the last week. This time around, they were allegedly attempting to steal hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise. However, bystanders held the front door to block them from exiting. The keen footwork of the suspects led them on a search for the rear door, which they were able to leave through. While making the rear-exit heist, they dropped all of the merchandise and left empty handed.

Metro Police ask that anyone with information about the four suspects is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463 (suspect and getaway car photos above from Metro Police). Callers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.

Since March 20, 2024, the Metro Nashville Police Department's Organized Retail Crime initiative has resulted in 293 arrests, including 119 felony and 519 misdemeanor charges. There have been 643 meetings with businesses,13 site surveys conducted, and 166 trespass waivers obtained or renewed this year.
