OPmobility, a French-based global enterprise with 152 plants in 28 countries, has had a presence in Tennessee since 2015. The company, which has operations in Chattanooga, Smyrna, Spring Hill, and Hendersonville, plans to leverage this expansion to broaden its product offerings and enhance its support for electric vehicle production lines.

The Spring Hill plant currently employs 18 workers in Maury County. With this expansion, OPmobility will create 186 new jobs, significantly boosting its workforce in the area and contributing to the local economy. Statewide, the company employs 568 people.

The expansion by OPmobility underscores Tennessee's thriving business environment and the state's growing role in the future of the automotive industry, particularly in electric vehicles.

Since 2020, the TNECD has backed approximately 15 economic development projects in Maury County. These initiatives have resulted in more than 3,500 job commitments and nearly $5 billion in capital investments. OPmobility's expansion is another testament to the state's successful economic development strategies.

The expansion project is set to position OPmobility as a key player in the electric vehicle market, which is seeing increasing demand. The company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability aligns well with the growing trend toward greener automotive solutions.
