Murfreesboro, TN – Beat the summer heat and cool off at Barfield Park’s Splash-Out event! This free, family-friendly event is open to kids of all ages and their parents on Thursday, July 11th from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM... The Splash-Out will be held in the parking lot lined with three pavilions, located across the street from the disc golf course. Attendees can cool off with refreshing water sprays and enjoy some fun in the sun.

Splash-Out is always a huge hit for kids because they love seeing the over-sized fire trucks in action. It's also a fun way to stay cool in the heat, especially when the heat index rises to 100. WGNS asked Susan Hicks with Murfreesboro Parks and Rec how many children showed up at the most recent Splash-Out event that was held earlier this month at Siegel Soccer Park...
