Murfreesboro, TN – Motorists are warned that traffic in both directions of I-24 will continue to move at a snail’s pace nightly through Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

A spokesperson with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (T-DOT) told WGNS News that the interstate is being resurfaced over night starting at 8:00PM and continuing until 5:00AM each morning.

TDOT noted that crews will be resurfacing both directions, and eastbound and westbound lanes will be closed alternating through the evening hours. This roadwork covers a 4-mile stretch of interstate from mile marker 78 to 82.
