Murfreesboro, TN - The 4th of July ended with a late night blaze shortly after 11:00 o'clock at row apartments in the 500 block of North Maple Street. The apartment was a loss, but the bedridden woman who lived there and a dog were evacuated safely by first-responders from Murfresboro Fire-Rescue Department's ladder #6.

Flames had engulfed the unit when fire-fighters quickly arrived on the scene. Other occupants in the burning home along with those in units on both sides, all made it to safety.
