Main Street's "Friday Night Live" Fills Historic Square With Fun!

Murfreesboro, TN - This coming Friday is August 2, 2024, and it is the next FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE on the Murfreesboro square.

The O'Donnells band were scheduled to perform last month, but threatening weather caused cancellation. Instead, The O'Donnells will perform this coming Friday (8/2/2024) from 6:30-9:30PM on the east side of the Historic Rutherford County Courthouse.

The O’Donnells consist of Darryl, Julie, and Klinton. This Nashville-based trio brings a variety of musical influences together to create an honest and refreshing sound. This highly unusual combination sets the stage for them to put on a show that ranges from traditional country, gospel, bluegrass, and early rock and is balanced to please audiences of all ages and musical tastes.

Bring your lawn chairs to the square this Friday, do some shopping and enjoy dinner at one of our hometown restaurants while being entertained by Main Street Murfreesboro's FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE.

Biz and Everyday People

Then on September 20 the square will be filled with rhythem and blues featuring Bizz and Everyday People. Due to the June cancellation, Main Street presents its first early fall event on October 25--all concerts are 6:30-9:30PM.

The Pilots Band

October spotlights The Pilots Band, an extremely popular local group who feature hits of the 50s through now.

Main Street's Executive Director Sarah Callender said, "This is the first time a Friday Night Live concert has been offered in October. “It should be fun to have a fall concert!” stated Callender. “We want to make sure we get in our four promised free concerts this season thanks to our presenting sponsor Wilson Bank and Trust and supporting sponsors.

Over the decades, Friday Night Live has encouraged the audience to enjoy the evening more by dancing. Whether you prefer to dance up front or relax in a chair, there's space for everyone to enjoy the music. Make sure to arrive early to grab a spot and maybe even have supper at one of the charming downtown restaurants.

The Friday Night Live concert series is presented by Wilson Bank and Trust. Main Street is thankful for many supporting sponsors of this series including Uncle Nearest, MTSU, Murfreesboro Nissan, Murfreesboro Eye Center, Rural 1st, Rutherford Convention and Visitors Bureau, and grants from the Community Foundation and TN. Arts Commission.
