UPDATE: Murfreesboro Police Looking for Suspect in Stolen Dump Truck Case

MURFREESBORO, TN  - Murfreesboro Police have located a stolen dump truck after asking for the public's help. Now, authorities are trying to determine who stole the truck.

According to the MPD, the costly 2020 Hydrema 912HM Articulated Dump Truck was stolen on July 30, 2024 from a construction site at 212 Panther Drive. The dump truck, owned by Authorized Equipment, was parked at the site, which had been closed due to severe weather over the past week. Authorities say at the scene, there was a man recorded on a security camera walking down the street around the time of the dump truck theft. Detectives are now working to identify the individual who has been deemed a person of interest.

The dump truck sells for between $120,000 and $180,000 used. A new dump truck is priced at over $250,000.
