Rutherford County Fuel Prices: A Detailed Look at Local and State Trends

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - Average gasoline prices in Tennessee have risen 3.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.06/g today, according to GasBuddy's survey of 3,821 stations in Tennessee. Prices in Tennessee are 10.4 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 40.2 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 2.3 cents in the last week and stands at $3.76 per gallon.

According to AAA, the Auto Club, the average price for regular unleaded fuel on Monday in Rutherford County stands at $3.11 per gallon. Neighboring Williamson County, which is to the west of us, has the highest priced gas in Tennessee at $3.43 per gallon for regular unleaded. In our immediate area, Cannon County has the lowest priced fuel at $3.06 per gallon. Nearby Music City has fuel priced at $3.18 per gallon, while Wilson and Sumner Counties have gas priced at $3.10 per gallon.

The national average price of gasoline has remained about the same when comparing last week to this week, averaging $3.47/g today.

Prices for diesel are .41-cents cheaper today than prices at this same period last year when the average price settled in at $3.94 per gallon. The highest average diesel price recorded in Tennessee was $5.64 per gallon, which occurred on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.
