UPDATE: Pedestrian Fatally Struck On Murfreesboro Pike Friday Night

UPDATE: The pedestrian fatally struck in the Friday night collision on Murfreesboro Pike has been identified as Larry Brown. The preliminary investigation indicates 72-year-old Brown was crossing Murfreesboro Pike from west to east approximately 275 feet from the Nashboro Boulevard intersection when a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck traveling southbound struck him, according to Metro Nashville Police.

Brown was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

The driver of the Silverado pickup was reported to be a Rutherford County resident named Leonardo De Jesus Guerrero of LaVergne. Metro PD said in a media release the 29-year-old driver did not show signs of impairment at the scene. He was however charged for driving without a license or insurance.
