UPDATE: 26-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with SUV in Christiana

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. – On Tuesday evening just before 6 PM, a motorcyclist involved in an accident with a small SUV was killed. The wreck occurred in Christiana at the intersection of Highway 231 South and Rock Springs Midland Road.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the driver of a Toyota RAV4 was pulling out from Rock Springs Midland Road and onto Highway 231 South. As the vehicle pulled onto the highway, motorcyclist Ahmed Abdullahi Osman, who was traveling down 231 South, collided into the drivers’ side door of the Toyota.

Reports indicate the 26-year-old motorcycle rider was killed in the crash and Yesenia Castellanos Sierras, who was driving the Toyota, was injured when the Suzuki GSX 250R hit the door of the SUV. A passenger who was in the small SUV when the accident occurred was not injured.

After the motorcycle hit the SUV, it came to a final rest on the roadway. The SUV came to what the Highway Patrol called a controlled stop on the left side of the road. The THP report further indicated that charges are now pending against 48-Year-old Sierras as the THP continues to investigate the fatal collision.
