Gas Prices Increase Across TN, Williamson County Highest and Rutherford County in the Mid to High Range

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - Average gasoline prices in Tennessee have risen and the current price is about .4-cents higher today than prices last week. Monday morning prices for regular unleaded came in at an average price of $3.02 per gallon throughout the Volunteer State, according to AAA – the Auto Club.

The Auto Club reports that gas prices in Rutherford County are currently averaging $3.06 per gallon. North of Murfreesboro in Wilson County, gas prices are averaging $3.02 per gallon, while Cannon County – to the East of the ‘Boro, their prices are sitting at $3.03 per gallon. South of Rutherford County in nearby Shelbyville, prices are averaging $3.08 per gallon.

The highest priced fuel in Tennessee is just over the county line and into Williamson County. There, the price of gas is averaging $3.39 per gallon. Davidson County as a whole has prices equaling $3.12 per gallon for regular unleaded while the inner Nashville area has average prices sitting at $3.11 per gallon.

The national average price of gasoline has fallen 4.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.37/g today – as reported by GasBuddy.com. The national average is down 11.4 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 47.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
