Murfreesboro, TN – Authorities have released the name of the woman found dead near a busy intersection in Murfreesboro this past Sunday. Police confirmed that the deceased has been identified as 49-year-old Caterina R. Hill, a resident of Murfreesboro.
According to the initial report, Hill was discovered at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Sunday (August 18th, 2024) in front of 845 North Thompson Lane, near the intersection of Medical Center Parkway. The investigation into her death is ongoing, with the Murfreesboro Police Department’s Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) leading the inquiry.
Preliminary findings suggest that Hill was walking southbound on North Thompson Lane when she was struck by a vehicle traveling in the same direction in the outside lane. The driver fled the scene, leaving Hill behind. Investigators believe that Hill may have been struck hours before a passing motorist discovered her and reported the incident. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
