Dwight Ogleton, founder of the Cool-Aid Program, has been providing relief from the heat for over 20 years… It is of the utmost importance to check on the elderly and those with young children during the ongoing extreme temperatures.

Ogleton reminds residents to ensure that friends and loved ones have a properly working air conditioner and to make sure neighbors are safe during the oncoming heat wave.

The hot months of summer are key times for the Cool-Aid Program to offer crucial assistance by providing and installing air conditioning units and fans for those who cannot afford them. Volunteers regularly help Ogleton install window unit AC’s, especially when temperatures rise significantly.

The Cool-Aid Program collects AC units and fans throughout the year to ensure they are available when needed most... Ogleton’s dedication and the support of the community make it possible to keep vulnerable residents cool and safe during times of high temps.
