RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - Overcoming obstacles can be tough, but it’s a necessary part of life. Because without challenges, or tough times that give us heartache, we’d never have the opportunity to feel the satisfaction of conquering something difficult or the ability to know what life can be like on the other side of pain.

In the wake of losing a loved one unexpectedly, many people are left with an overwhelming sense of emptiness. This void, profound and all-consuming, can disrupt the delicate balance of daily life. The struggle to find solace in the face of such loss often leads individuals to seek temporary relief—sometimes through methods that were never meant to be long-term solutions… That was Floyd Barrett who is part of a Celebrate Recovery group in Rutherford County.

Whether it’s a recent medical diagnosis, losing a job, or the fallout from committing adultery, these events can push people down a slippery slope, leading to depression and anxiety. The weight of these emotions can be overwhelming, and for many, the struggle to regain control becomes an exhausting uphill battle.

For many, what starts as an uphill climb becomes a path to healing, proving that no matter how steep the challenge, no one has to face it alone. This is where groups like Celebrate Recovery can turn a life-altering problem and turn it into a life saving change… Barrett, who spoke with WGNS, highlighted how these groups provide the strength needed to face life’s toughest battles… Remember, If we didn’t experience the feeling of pain or the emotion of sorrow, we wouldn’t be capable of experiencing pleasure or happiness. And while no one likes to experience trials and tribulations, without them - we would never have the chance to experience joy.

Celebrate Recovery is a safe place for people to find freedom from the issues controlling their lives. Barrett attends the Sunday Celebrate Recovery group that meets inside Family Worship Center weekly at 6PM. The doors are always open for newcomers and for those who have attended CR for years.
