MURFREESBORO, TN - The annual hummingbird festival will return to Murfreesboro later this month… That was Lynn Caldwell with the Murfreesboro Parks and Rec. Department.
Starting at 7:30 this Saturday morning at the Wilderness Station in Barfield Crescent Park, Cyndi Routledge with the Southeastern Avian Research Center will capture and band hummingbirds as guest watch. During the banding process, she will discuss the history of the birds and how they migrate to far away places like Mexico in a search for increased resources.
The event is free and open to all ages and will take place between 7:30 AM and 3 PM on Saturday, August, 31, 2024.
