TwelveStone Health Partners Chief Executive Officer Shane Reeves said, “We are honored that our LTC Pharmacy and MEDIpack service will continue in the hands of such a trusted provider.”

Murfreesboro based TwelveStone Health Partners is only selling its ancillary service lines. The local firm's Chief Strategy Officer Jozef Nuyens notes that the change allows TwelveStone to concentrate on its fast-growing infusion service.

Reeves and Rick Sain built a small healthcare business into a multi-million-dollar enterprise reaching across the state of Tennessee with specialties in retail pharmacy, compounding, respiratory, infusion therapy, home medical equipment, immunizations, diabetic care, LTC pharmacy and MEDIpack. For more than 25 years, the thriving LTC pharmacy business has serviced 140 facilities representing 40,000+ patients. MEDIpack, created by TwelveStone, offers pharmacy services to nearly 3,000 patients with chronic conditions across 11 states.

Middle Tennessee Pharmacy Services

Russ Spivey and David Brown co-founded Shelbyville-based Middle Tennessee Pharmacy Services in 2005 and have steadily increased their footprint over the past 19 years through the 2012 opening of Guardian Mid-South Pharmacy in Memphis and the 2013 launch of East Tennessee Pharmacy Services in Knoxville. This latest expansion will increase their total customer base by 17 per cent. The newly acquired pharmacy, located in Murfreesboro, will continue to operate as TwelveStone, serving its existing long-term care customers and their residents. All 34 TwelveStone employees will join the new team.

The acquisition comes at a time when TwelveStone is narrowing focus on their rapidly growing infusion service business including 21 infusion centers in the southeastern US across Georgia, Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee.

The deal will enable Middle Tennessee Pharmacy Services to better serve residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and behavioral health communities, as well as individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and outpatient consumers throughout Tennessee, Southern Kentucky and Northern Alabama.

Founded in 2004, Guardian Pharmacy Services now has 50 locations serving 36 states.
