Former VP Pence To Speak At MTSU

Murfreesboro, TN - The Annual Constitution Day program is set for 3:00-4:15PM Tuesday afternoon, September 17, 2024, at MTSU’s Tucker Theatre, 615 Champion Way. The guest speaker is 48th Vice President Mike Pence.

Officials at the university told WGNS that after brief opening remarks, Pence will engage in a conversation with MTSU Honors history professor Mary Evins.

In addition, an audience Q&A will take place following the retired vice president’s talk.

MTSU’s American Democracy Project chapter annually commemorates Constitution Day with live readings of the U.S. Constitution by students, faculty, staff and visitors at various locations throughout campus, as well as hosting a keynote speaker or panel. This year’s observance is Sept. 16-17 and will culminate with Pence’s appearance on Sept. 17, 2024.
