Murfreesboro, TN – Saturday’s First Oaklands Craft Fair was a huge success! In fact, the beautiful sunny day with cool temperatures created an overflow. Craftsmen and vendors were thrilled as shopper strolled the craft area, enjoyed Murfreesboro Little Theatre’s roaming thespians, as well as walking tours of the mansion and beautiful springs.
Oaklands Executive Director James Manning said, “The Craft Fair definitely supports our mission to enhance our community’s quality of life.”
The were handmade crafts, fine arts and vintage items—all enhanced with delicious cuisine from food trucks, live music and more.
All of this coupled with temps in the 70s were like giant magnets attracting people to the Heart of Tennessee. The parking lot at Oaklands Park was full and so were both sides of every street within walking distance of Oaklands. The through lanes were clogged with a constant flow of traffic circling in search for a parking spot.
The crowds walked away smiling and carrying sacks of creations according to the artisans at the Oaklands Craft Fair.
Manning reminded, “Don’t miss another popular annual event coming-up. The 10th Annual Oktoberfest is set for September 28, 2024 from 4:00-8:00PM.”
