Law enforcement was made aware that a non-custodial father from Utah was accused of kidnapping his 3-year-old son. Rutherford County Sheriff’s Deputy Luis Ramirez spotted a car with a driver who appeared to match the BOLO that was put out. Deputy Ramirez followed at a distance, while back-up was called. They went down the Old Fort Parkway and turned onto I-24. The back-up had arrived, and the deputies surrounded the suspect who pulled to the side of the road without incident. It turned out to be the subject, and the father was taken into custody. Deputy Luis Ramirz’s actions helped recover the boy quickly and return him safely to his mother.
