MURFREESBORO, TN - The annual Touch-A-Truck event took place this Saturday at the World Outreach Church parking lot in Murfreesboro. Families came out to explore all kinds of rescue vehicles, including fire trucks, helicopters, and backhoes. Children were especially excited to climb on the equipment and take home fun items from the event.

The event was sponsored by the Rutherford County Traffic Safety Task Force, which organized the day to promote public safety in a fun and interactive way. Kids and their families had the chance to see SWAT vehicles, ambulances, and even water rescue boats up close.

Touch-A-Truck gave the community a hands-on opportunity to learn about the important work of first responders. It helped children understand how firemen, police officers, and other emergency workers keep the community safe.

The Task Force thanked all the participating agencies and World Outreach Church for hosting the event. Events like these help build strong relationships between first responders and the public, especially the youngest members of the community.
