MURFREESBORO, TN - Hold onto your hats (or should we say pecans?) because the highly anticipated Pecan Festival is rolling into Murfreesboro this Saturday, September 28, at Lane Agri-Park. It's the one day of the year where you can eat, smell, and possibly even wear pecans—and let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want that?
Prepare yourself for an overload of pecan-inspired deliciousness. The star of the show? Pecan pies, of course! But wait, there’s more! Pecans will come toasted, spicy, not-so-spicy, and even honey-glazed. Not to mention Southern Pecan Coffee and Chocolate Covered Pecans. If your sweet tooth hasn’t started screaming yet, we’re questioning if you’ve ever tasted the magic of Georgia Pecan Pies!
If you're still not convinced, close your eyes and remember your childhood pit stops at Stuckey's, where pecan log rolls and peanut butter brittle made life feel complete. If you've never tried peanut butter brittle with pecans, it’s time to fix that serious oversight in your life this Saturday!
But the Pecan Festival is more than just a nutty paradise. Over 100 vendors will line up, offering pecan-themed products, handmade goods, home décor, and other treasures. There’s even a free petting zoo, so you can hang out with animals that (thankfully) don’t eat your precious pecans. At least the kids will appreciate that!
And for the kids (and kids-at-heart), there’s sand art, inflatables, pony rides, carnival games, and face painting to keep everyone entertained. Meanwhile, the adults can sit back and enjoy some live music—don't forget to pack those lawn chairs!
The Pecan Festival runs from 11 AM to 1 PM at 315 John R. Rice Boulevard, and the best part? It’s completely free to attend and park! So, whether you’re a die-hard pecan enthusiast or just someone looking for a fun Saturday, this festival is the place to be. Plus, the first 200 people get dessert tastings for just 5 bucks. Honestly, why are you still reading this and not packing up for Pecan Fest?
