Evans reassured parents in a message sent out during the incident, stating, “It does NOT involve the schools. This is only a precaution, which is standard procedure when there is police activity nearby.” He emphasized that the safety of students remains a top priority.
The alert was communicated to parents to keep them informed about the increased police presence around the schools.
