  1. Emergency Services:

    • Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services (EMS): They are the primary Advanced Life Support (ALS) provider for the county. They offer services like public event medical coverage, bike medics, and education programs1.
    • RC Fire-Rescue: They play a vital role in fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical services. Their training and equipment are essential for keeping the community safe.
    • Murfreesboro Fire-Rescue: Another critical team that responds to fires, medical emergencies, and other incidents. They work tirelessly to protect lives and property.
    • Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD): They handle law enforcement, emergency calls, and community safety. Remember their non-emergency number: 615-893-1311.
    • Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO): They provide law enforcement services, maintain courthouse security, and operate community-based programs.
  2. Emergency Preparedness:

    • Create a Family Emergency Plan: Decide on a safe meeting place, establish communication protocols, and ensure everyone knows what to do during different emergencies.
    • Disaster Supply Kit: Prepare essentials like food, water, medications, and important documents. Be self-sufficient for at least three days.
    • Know Your Emergency Numbers: Keep these numbers handy: MPD (615-893-1311), Murfreesboro Fire-Rescue (615-893-1422), Rutherford County EMA (615-898-7764), and Red Cross (615-893-4272).
