MT. JULIET, TENN. - A routine traffic stop in Mt. Juliet led to the arrest of a Nashville man and the recovery of a stolen handgun linked to a Smyrna burglary. Officers pulled over a Chrysler 300 for illegally parking in a handicapped spot, during which they discovered a firearm in the possession of the 26-year-old male driver.
Further investigation revealed the handgun had been stolen during a burglary at a Smyrna gun store in May of this year. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Wilson County Jail. Mt. Juliet police emphasized that this arrest highlights the importance of diligent police work in ensuring community safety.
