Tue. (Nov. 5, 2024) 7AM-7PM Election Day. For registered voters who did not take advantage of "Early Voting", you can cast your ballot at any VOTING CENTER in Rutherford County. When the polls close at 7PM, the 77th year of election coverage begins on WGNS. Tune to FM 101.9 or AM 1450 in Murfreesboro; for listeners in the Smyrna and northern parts of this county, tune to FM 100.5.
Positions on the Rutherford County Ballot
This election is the State and Federal General election. In other words, this is the final election that places into office a person to fill each position.
It is the municipal election for Eagleville, La Vergne and Smyrna. Both Eagleville and Smyrna will elect two persons for their city council, and La Vergne replaces 2 positions.
On the State of Tennessee level, this election covers the person holding the State Senate seat for district 14.
In the Tennessee State House of Representatives, positions are open for districts 13, 34, 37, 48 and 49.
On the federal level: President and Vice President of the United States.
