Murfreesboro, TN - VETERANS DAY, a time set aside to honor those who gave their time to protect and guard America, and especially to those who made the supreme sacrifice to keep this the home of the brave and land of the free. 

Murfreesboro's annual Veterans Day gets underway at 11:00 o'clock Monday morning (11/11/2024) on the east side of the Historic Courthouse on the Murfreesboro square. 

The guest speaker is Lieutenant Colonel David A. Young, retired, meritoriously and honorably served the United States of America for over 25 years, retiring in 2020.

He has deployed two times to Iraq – in 2005, as the Commander, 727th Expeditionary Air Control Squadron Deployable Radar Site, Kirkuk, Iraq; and in 2007, as a member of the 19th Special Forces Group, Military Training Team, Communications Individual Augmentee, to create the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Command, Baghdad, Iraq.
