Sen. Reeves elected Chaplain of Tennessee Senate Republican Caucus

(NASHVILLE) - The Tennessee Senate Republican Caucus met on November 14 in Nashville to elect Caucus leadership positions for the 114th Tennessee General Assembly, which will convene on January 14, 2025. The majority caucus unanimously elected to return State Senator Shane Reeves, R-Murfreesboro, to a fourth term as Caucus Chaplain. 

“I am honored that my senate colleagues have reelected me to serve as Caucus Chaplain,” said Sen. Reeves. “My faith is extremely important to me. I pray regularly for God to guide my senate colleagues and me as we strive to make the best decisions on behalf of our districts and the state of Tennessee. God has blessed us with an incredible state led by Godly men and women. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside them.”

The 27-member supermajority caucus also voted to renominate Lt. Governor Randy McNally to a fifth term and returned Senator Jack Johnson, R-Franklin, and Senator Ken Yager, R-Kingston, to fourth terms in their top leadership roles as Majority Leader and Republican Caucus Chairman, respectively. Others elected to caucus leadership positions include Senator Bill Powers, R-Clarksville, as Treasurer; and Senator Dawn White, R-Murfreesboro.
