MURFREESBORO – It's back to school for kids after the Thanksgiving break and the county system during that time dealt with a large network outage that disrupted several services.
Director of Schools Jimmy Sullivan assures administration, staff, students and parents progress had been made in restoring many of the affected systems. Leadership teams now have access to these systems, and the restoration process will continue as students and staff return to school.
Students previously scheduled to begin End-of-Course (EOC) testing will see those assessments rescheduled. Additionally, deadlines for schoolwork and projects due this week will be extended to accommodate the disruptions caused by the outage.
Sullivan urged faculty, staff, and students to ensure they bring their school-issued computers and chargers to school on Monday, a crucial step in the ongoing recovery process.
