NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Metro Police Violent Crimes detectives are urgently seeking the public’s help in their attempt to identify a man and a woman linked to at least four violent robberies across Nashville. The duo's latest attack, on Sunday afternoon, left a 62-year-old woman hospitalized after she was assaulted in the parking lot of a Family Dollar store on Nolensville Pike.
Around 3 p.m., the victim was placing items in her car when the suspects pulled up in an older white sedan. A man exited the vehicle, grabbed the victim, and stole her purse after a struggle that caused her to fall and hit her head. She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.
Detectives suspect this incident is connected to three earlier robberies: a November 28 attack on a 27-year-old woman outside her Packard Drive apartment, a November 26 assault on a 55-year-old woman on Greenleaf Drive, and a November 15 robbery of a 67-year-old woman on Tusculum Road. Each attack followed a disturbing pattern of targeting women, with suspects resorting to physical violence to snatch purses.
The male suspect is described as a short Black man, while the female suspect was described as white in two robberies and Black in two others. The suspects’ vehicle is believed to be an older white sedan.
