Murfreesboro, TN - Around 7:00 o'clock Friday night (12/13/2024) there was a singe-vehicle crash into a utility pole on Cherry Lane, near Sulphur Springs Road. 

That section of roadway was shut-down to traffic because cables were on the roadway. It was not known if the wires were electric or communications coax and fiber. 

THP opened the roadway and left the scene around 8:00PM as AT&T arrived to repair and replace the lines. Obviously, since the phone company took over instead of the electric department, the cables were for telephone, internet and cable TV. 

Sgt. John Grinder, a Highway Patrol PIO, will release their preliminary report when the investigating officers complete their analysis of what happened.
