HERMITAGE, TN — The TSSAA Board of Control convened Thursday at the TSSAA office in Hermitage, where Blackman High School's appeal regarding the second year of its football probation was taken up. The appeal, stemming from an incident at the end of a heated football game against Oakland this past season, was ultimately denied.

The denial of Blackman’s appeal solidifies the continuation of the probation penalty, which impacts the school for another year.

HERMITAGE - The TSSAA Board of Control will convene on Thursday this week (January 1) at the TSSAA office in Hermitage, with Blackman High School's appeal as a central topic of discussion. The meeting begins at 9am.

Blackman is set to challenge the second year of its football probation, a penalty imposed following an incident at the end of a heated football game against Oakland this past season. 

Another appeal, requests for exceptions to the Co-op rule and financial reports from recent state events, including the football playoffs, will be discussed.
