Murfreesboro, Tenn. — After nearly 50 years of service at its NW Broad Street location, the City of Murfreesboro Water Resources Department has announced that it will officially move to new offices at 316 Robert Rose Drive. This new hub will bring together various divisions, including Customer Service, Administration, Engineering, Finance, and Stormwater, under one roof, conveniently located behind Home Depot.
The current customer service lobby located at 300 NW Broad Street will close its doors to in-person customers today (Tuesday, January 14, 2025). The newly relocated office will welcome customers starting on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Both locations will be closed on January 15, 2025, to facilitate the transition.
The Water Resources Department will operate at the new location Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., providing a comprehensive range of services to water and sewer customers. These services include assistance with new service setups, terminations, billing inquiries, payment acceptance, and water and sewer connection fees.
Additionally, the Engineering and Stormwater divisions will offer a variety of services such as development coordination, construction plans review, stormwater quality control inspections, and more.
For those who prefer digital convenience, online e-billing accounts and automated payment options are available through the department's e-billing portal. Customers can easily manage their water accounts from home, checking balances or making payments online.
Customers can navigate to the new location by taking NW Broad Street to Old Fort Parkway, then turning onto Mall Circle Drive and following to Robert Rose Drive, where they will find 316 Robert Rose Drive on the right.
Looking ahead, the administrative offices at the former location will be demolished in 2025 to allow for the Keystone Project, a mixed-use development aimed at revitalizing downtown Murfreesboro, with early phases of construction expected to begin later this year.
