Murfreesboro, TN - Tonight's Rutherford County Historical Society Meeting has been cancelled due to the extremely cold weather. Temperatures are forecast to be 16-degrees when the meeting is scheduled to start. Again, NO HISTORICAL METING TONIGHT!

Due to the extreme cold weather, tonight's highly anticipated historical meeting has been cancelled. With temperatures expected to plummet to 16°F at the scheduled start time, it is in the best interest of everyone's safety to postpone the event. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Stay warm and safe!

Remember, in Tennessee, wait a few days and the sunshine will return. The local Historical Society is back at the one-room Ransom School House this Saturday (1/25/2025) from 9AM-noon, and yep, temps are supposed to be near 60 by then.

Don't forget it's time to renew your RCHS dues. It is our Ransom Roundup to Pay Dues and Recruit New Members. Wear your cowboy & western clothes! Hee-Haw! It’s so awesome to be a Ransom Rowdy! ROUND UP THOSE RECRUITS... MORE MEMBERS are needed! Dues are only $20/year for the entire family. If every member signed up one person, we would double our membership!
