Stewarts Creek High School Band plays at Presidential Inaugural Parade in the Capital One Arena.

Washington, DC - U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.)  proudly stated “Monday (1/20/2025), Rutherford County’s Stewarts Creek High School got to perform in the inaugural parade after their performance was previously canceled. I was happy to play a small part in helping these Tennessee students fulfill one of their goals. The Redhawk’s worked tirelessly to fundraise for their trip to D.C., and they certainly made Tennessee proud today!”

As you recall, the band successfully raised the needed $120,000 to get them to our nation’s capital to be in the President’s Inaugural Parade.  The snow, ice and temperatures in the 20s forced cancellation of the outdoor parade, but people like Sen. Blackburn worked behind the scene to create an indoor venue. The Capitol One Arena with seating for over 20,000 spectators was chosen.

The Red Hawks Band was clearly seen in high-definition as they marched across the TV screens of every major TV network, streaming channels, as well as TV in other parts of the world.

Stewarts Creek Principal Dr. Clark Harrell noted, "We are immensely grateful for the Tennessee Congressional Delegation and all the support they have given us this weekend. We could not be prouder of our students and staff and are excited to see them showcased on this national stage."

The Stewarts Creek High School Band was established in 2013, and has quickly earned a distinguished reputation as one of the premier high school bands in Tennessee. With a focus on creating impactful and meaningful performance opportunities, the Redhawk’s band program fosters a professional environment that inspires students to achieve their highest potential. The leadership emphasizes the core values of commitment, dedication, and teamwork, fostering a close-knit musical family built on the principles of integrity, passion, and excellence.
