UPDATE (5:37PM):  Murfreesboro Police were at Chelsea Place Apartments on Bradyville Pike at 2:34PM Sunday afternoon (1/26/2025) where a mother and infant suffered gunshot wounds. The infant was shot multiple times and pronounced deceased at the scene with a gunshot wound to the head. The mother was shot in the arm. 

The male suspect fled the scene, but was later found deceased in neighboring Williamson County. Officials say that he died from a self-inflicted gun shot. 

At this time, police are in the early stages of their investigation and the relationship between the mother and the deceased male has not been released.

Original Story (4:11PM):  MURFREESBORO - Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD) officers are investigating a shooting that occurred around 2:30PM Sunday afternoon (1-26-2025) at Chelsea Place Apartments on Bradyville Pike, leaving two people injured.

Authorities were called to the apartment complex following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The condition of the victims has not yet been disclosed.

The scene has been secured, and investigators are actively working to gather details about the shooter and the vehicle involved. As of now, no additional information has been made available.
