TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna, TN Welcomes Three New Trustees for 2025

SMYRNA, Tenn. – TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center is pleased to announce three new members to its 2025 Board of Trustees. Laura Davidson, LaShan Dixon and Tim Slate began their terms in January. Each trustee is selected for their dedication to the hospital’s mission and ability to represent both the medical profession and the community.

About the New Trustees

Laura Davidson serves as a Rutherford County commissioner representing District 5 and sits on the Health and Education Committee. A LaVergne resident and Fairview native, she is a proud University of Tennessee graduate. Her passion for public service is evident in her commitment to emergency services, public safety and community engagement.

LaShan Dixon is a Rutherford County resident and Nashville native with a strong background in public health. She holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, graduate certificates in health care management and gerontology, and a master’s degree in health and human performance from Middle Tennessee State University. Dixon previously served as director of the Rutherford County Health Department and now leads faith-based and community engagement efforts within the Tennessee Department of Health’s Division of Health Disparities Elimination.

Tim Slate is a Smyrna native and resident. He is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University’s College of Business. A Nissan executive, he serves as director of the stamping plant and product assembly. Slate has held leadership roles on various Rutherford County boards, and he is passionate about community engagement and expanding local opportunities.
