Murfreesboro, TN – UPDATE: Warrants have been issued in a local shoplifting case after a previously unidentified suspect was recognized by the public following the release of photos by the Murfreesboro Police Department.
The incident that led to the criminal charges began when a shopper entered a local Dollar General Store on January 20th. The unidentified man filled his cart with merchandise and confidently pushed his fully loaded, signature yellow cart right past the checkout without paying. Eyewitnesses reported that as he left the store, he reached into his waistband, leading employees to believe he might be armed, as police stated this gesture “insinuated he had a gun.”
This alarming display did not deter him, as he allegedly left the store without paying for any of the items. He will have the opportunity to address the matter in front of a Rutherford County judge, though a court date has not yet been set.
