Thank you, Andrew Schaefer of the Smyrna Police Department for all that you do to help others. Before being promoted to detective, he was a K9 handler. When his K9 partner was retired, Schaefer welcomed the dog into his family and took on all the medical expenses when his former partner recently passed away. His commitment to going the extra mile and protecting others continues--he has been actively involved in several high-profile cases, and is currently working on identifying a suspect involved in a shooting.
