Rutherford County Fire & Rescue Responds to Multiple Brush Fires

Rutherford County, TN – On the afternoon of March 10, 2025, Rutherford County Fire and Rescue (RCFR) responded to multiple brush fires alongside the Almaville Volunteer Fire Department, Christiana Volunteer Fire Department, Eagleville Fire Department, and the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.

The fires occurred in several areas, including Halls Hill Pike, Ocala Road, Panther Creek Road, and Hooper Street. All incidents are currently under investigation by the Rutherford County Fire Marshal’s Office.

Officials remind residents that all open burning requires a permit from the Tennessee Division of Forestry. Fires must be attended at all times, and changing weather conditions should be closely monitored to prevent unintended spread. Failure to comply with these regulations could result in criminal penalties.


 

BURN PERMIT: Effective Immediately, all open burning is suspended until this Friday due to worsening conditions.

No permits will be issued by the County or Tennessee Division of Forestry during this time.
