Kittrell, TN - The beloved annual Kittrell Reunion is set to bring friends and alumni together once again at Kittrell School, located at 7801 Old Woodbury Pike. In fact, planning committees are current working diligently to make this the best one yet. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, and welcomes all who graduated from, attended, or have an interest in the historic school.
The reunion offers a chance for attendees to reconnect, share memories, and celebrate the rich history of Kittrell School. Highlights include honoring the individual who traveled the greatest distance to attend, as well as the oldest alum present.
At the conclusion of last year's reunion, one classmate vowed to bring a “box of memories” to the 2025 gathering. In fact, all are encouraged to do the same, ensuring a nostalgic and heartfelt gathering.
There is no admission fee, though donations will be accepted to help fund next year’s festivities.
Kittrell School began as a one-room schoolhouse and later expanded to two rooms, holds a significant place in the community's history. The school, named after Civil War Major Marion Kittrell, stands as a testament to education in simpler times, when terms lasted just three-months and were followed by subscription-based schooling.
