MURFREESBORO, TN - The new Veterans Park in Murfreesboro will start taking shape with a groundbreaking on Friday… That was Parks Director Nate Williams. He told WGNS the new 150-acre park will be inviting to all outdoor enthusiasts. 

An exact timeline for construction is somewhat unknown… The new park is easily accessible by way of I-840. It will sit along Veterans Parkway, near Saint Thomas Westlawn Hospital.

The new park will be filled with lots of green space, walking trails, 4 large pavilions, pickleball courts and a beautiful event space. There will also be a special destination playground built for kids - a playground that will likely prove to be one of the best in park history.
