Murfreesboro, TN - Murfreesboro Police answered a “pedestrian hit” call Friday (3/28/2025) evening on the in-bound lane of South Church Street (highway 231-S) near I-24. Officials describe it as a “car vs pedestrian” incident.

Murfreesboro Police PIO Larry Flowers said the injured male was transported to the Vanderbilt Trauma Center in Nashville. His condition was described as “very critical”.

Murfreesboro Police’ Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) were on-the-scene conducting an extensive investigation to determine what happened. They made measurements, interviewed witnesses and gathered evidence.

The road was reopened to traffic shortly after 10:00 o’clock Friday night.
