Rutherford County, TN - The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation is having a mobile collection event this coming Saturday morning from 8:00AM to noon at the Murfreesboro Solid Waste Department, 4765 Florence Rd.

Items that are Accepted

Household hazardous waste encompasses items that are flammable, toxic, reactive, or corrosive. Examples include cleaning fluids, pesticides, mercury thermometers, fluorescent lamps, lithium batteries, aerosols, adhesives, brake fluid, swimming pool chemicals, paint thinner, and even used needles stored in sturdy containers.

However, not everything can be dropped off. Items like ammunition, explosives, alkaline batteries, paint, electronics, and empty containers should be disposed of elsewhere. For full details, phone (615) 295-9716.
