This past Monday, a 25-year-old woman driving a Honda Civic was involved in a dangerous collision with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 24 in Murfreesboro. The wreck occurred near the I-24/I-840 interchange at around 8 p.m.

According to a report filed by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, both the Honda and the semi-truck were traveling west on I-24 when the car’s driver attempted to merge into a lane already occupied by the truck. The front end of the semi struck the sedan, pushing it across multiple lanes. The Honda eventually came to rest along the interstate shoulder, while the large Kenworth truck stopped approximately 100 feet ahead.
