Mt. Juliet, TN - A seasoned police officer’s instincts proved pivotal Sunday night (April 13, 2025) when a routine patrol near I-40 in Wilson County led to the apprehension of a woman wanted in Rutherford County.
Authorities say the officer noticed a woman lingering suspiciously at a Mapco gas station, appearing to perform vehicle maintenance for nearly 40 minutes while keeping an eye on his presence. Sensing something was off, the officer approached the woman, identified her as a 43-year-old Crossville resident, and soon uncovered a nationwide extradition warrant issued out of Rutherford County.
The warrant was connected to allegations that she had leased a property for the purpose of storing and selling illegal substances, effectively turning it into a drug house.
Without incident, she was taken into custody and booked at the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Adult Detention Center in Murfreesboro. Officials say the case underscores the importance of vigilance in law enforcement, with alert officers continuing to make Middle Tennessee a safer place.
