MURFREESBORO, TN – A beloved local tradition hits a major milestone this year as the Rutherford County Farmers’ Market celebrates its 50th anniversary when it opens for the 2025 season on Friday, May 9.
Held at the Lane Agri-Park Community Center in Murfreesboro, the market will welcome visitors every Tuesday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. through October 31, offering fresh, local goods and a half-century of agricultural heritage.
As a Producer-Only Farmers’ Market, every product available is grown, baked, or handmade by vendors who come from more than a dozen counties across Middle Tennessee. Marketgoers can shop an abundant selection of seasonal fruits and vegetables, farm-raised meats and eggs, baked and canned goods, flowers, and ornamental plants, shrubs, and trees.
“Reaching 50 years is a testament to the incredible community support and the dedication of our local growers,” said organizers. “We’re proud to continue providing a space where local agriculture and community spirit come together.”
The market’s open-air and indoor setting at Lane Agri-Park makes it an inviting destination rain or shine, and special activities and recognitions are expected throughout the season to mark the golden anniversary.
