Juneteenth Celebration will not be held in Murfreesboro due to COVID-19

The date is typically celebrated in Murfreesboro on the Saturday closest to June 19th, which means it would have been held this coming Saturday, the 20th of June. Sadly, due to the fear of spreading the coronavirus, the celebration will not be held this year.

Last year, the Juneteenth Celebration was held at the Bradley Academy and Cultural Arts Museum, but won't be held this year due to COVID-19. However, the Murfreesboro Parks and Rec Department will post a special video commemorating the day this Friday (6/19/2020) on their social media page. The video can be viewed on Facebook and will also be shown on City TV channel 3 and on YouTube.
