Sen. White presents proclamation to Eagleville's James Curlee for Volunteer of the Year Award

On Thursday, at an award ceremony held at Eagleville City Hall, State Senator Dawn White (R-Murfreesboro) presented a proclamation to James Curlee for receiving the 2019 Volunteer of the Year Award from the Eagleville City Council. The proclamation is signed by Senator White, Representative Tim Rudd (R-Murfreesboro) and Lt. Governor Randy McNally.

Mr. Curlee was recommended for this award by the Parks Board of Eagleville for starting the Eagleville Farmer's Market. He dedicated his time every Saturday of the summer to ensure its success.

"Mr. Curlee exemplifies the volunteer spirit of Tennessee and has done amazing work to bring the community together in a new way," said Senator White. "This farmers market provides great value to the community by offering a way for citizens to connect with their local farmers and buy local fresh produce. The Eagleville Farmers Market will continue to benefit the community for years to come, and I am pleased to present this proclamation to a volunteer so deserving of this award."
