Downed Utility Poles and Power Lines after Pole Vs. Electric Pole Mishap on Friday (8/26/22)

Downed utility poles causes problems on Friday in Murfreesboro.

The incident was initially reported around 9:40AM on Friday morning.

New Salem Highway in the area of the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office had to be shut down for hours.

At least 10-MTE trucks had to respond to the call.

Power was knocked out for about 120-customers.

Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue and Murfreesboro Police responded to the scene.
